Founder & President, Board of Directors
Dorothy Baker is the Founder and President of the Board of Directors for Hope for Good, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Bossier City, Louisiana. Known for her heart of gold and unwavering compassion, Dorothy has spent her life quietly serving others and meeting needs in her community—never seeking recognition, but always leading with love.
Her genuine care for others and lifelong commitment to helping those in need inspired the creation of Hope for Good, an organization dedicated to putting God’s love into action by restoring hope, removing barriers, and creating spaces where people can thrive. Dorothy’s humility and generosity are the foundation of the organization’s mission, and her leadership continues to inspire both volunteers and community partners to give selflessly.
Respected and admired throughout Northwest Louisiana, Dorothy has a remarkable ability to bring people together in support of meaningful causes. Her authenticity and compassion draw others to stand behind every initiative she champions, making her a true pillar of strength and grace within the community.
Dorothy is also the co-owner of Kangaroo Kleaning Service, a commercial cleaning company that has proudly served Northwest Louisiana for nearly two decades. She is an amazing wife, the devoted mother of two daughters, and the proud grandmother of four.

Amy B. Ogunyemi
Vice President
Amy is the proud mother of three remarkable children . Her love for learning was ignited at a young age, and her passion for helping children with learning challenges grew when her own children began their educational journey.
Amy is a people-centered Business and Wellness executive, overseeing several small to mid-size organizations in numerous industries for nearly two decades. Amy earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Louisiana Tech University. She earned her Master of Business Administration and Master of Education in Workforce Development Education from the University of Arkansas.
Amy Ogunyemi is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Community Care & Counseling, with a specialization in Traumatology. Her advanced coursework reflects a deep commitment to trauma-informed care, family wellness, and the integration of educational and behavioral supports in underserved communities.

Misty Swan-Bendaw
Director
Misty Swan-Bendaw is a devoted wife, proud mom, and Yaya/Naunie to five grandchildren. She is a new Board Member for Hope for Good, and she is excited to put God’s love into action and support her community. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and she is passionate about showing her sons and grandchildren the importance of kindness, service, and giving back. Misty loves spending quality time with her family - cheering on her son and grandson at baseball games, attending high school football games, and capturing life’s special moments through photography.
